I came to this work out of love for weddings. I'm a romantic by nature — the kind who cries at the bride's entrance without knowing a soul in the church.

I'm a Christian, and marriage means a great deal to me: it is a covenant, a promise made before God and before the people you chose as witnesses. Working with that is a privilege I take seriously.

So I don't treat the day as a service to be delivered. I arrive early, stay to the end, and spend the whole day watching for what nobody planned. That's always where the best part of the story lives.
